Krassimir Hristov is a Senior Associate in DGKV’s Intellectual Property practice. He joined DGKV as an associate in 2021. His work covers a wide range of IP matters, including trademarks, industrial designs, and software copyright. He has been involved in opposition proceedings before the Bulgarian Patent Office and the European Union Intellectual Property Office. He also practices in civil litigation and has experience in the energy sector.
Recent representative projects include:
- Providing ongoing legal advice to Economedia AD, one of the largest and most prominent business-media groups in Bulgaria, on various IP-related matters, including the enforcement of registered marks and pre-registration and registration matters, the classification of activities, as well as representing the company in matters related to new brands and the renewal of registrations.
- Participating in a number of ongoing opposition proceedings before the Bulgarian Patent Office involving the protection of the IP rights of one of the largest European pharmaceutical and dermocosmetics groups.
- Participating in the legal due diligence of a Bulgarian IT company, owned by a US parent company; the legal due diligence of the Bulgarian company is done as part of the legal due diligence process of the European subsidiaries of the US parent company, which is a major IT company.
- Participating in opposition proceedings involving the protection of the trademark rights of American credit rating agency Moody's in Bulgaria.
